South Shore Women’s Resource Center For Domestic Violence
The South Shore Women’s Resource Center is a nonprofit, community-based domestic violence program that has been assisting victims of domestic violence and their families for more than 30 years. Services are free and confidential. Their focus is to create a welcoming environment where victims can feel safe to make empowering choices in their lives.
The South Shore Women’s Resource Center provides the following Center-based Services:
Crisis intervention: Provided on the phone or in person, our domestic violence advocates assist you with information and support you ask for.
Safety planning: Discuss what the safest options are for your situation.
Assistance with shelter placement: Emergency shelter for victims within our network of confidential safe homes and/or assistance with long-term placement
Support groups: Educational and empowerment groups for victims.
Clinical Individual/Group/Family Therapy: Substance abuse and mental health services for victims, including trauma, depression, and anxiety.
24-hour Hotline: Trained staff and volunteers are available around the clock to listen and to provide information and safety options.
