Firearms Appointment Processing

NEW APPLICANTS

Prior to setting up an appointment, you MUST have completed a certified firearms safety course.

1. Basic Firearm Instructor Listing
2. Download and complete the application OR complete an Online Application
3. Schedule your appointment

When you come to your scheduled appointment, please bring with you:
• Your completed application
• A Massachusetts Safety Course Certificate (Not Required for ACTIVE DUTY Military)
• A check or money order made payable to “Town of Carver” (no cash or credit card), see fees below.
• Your driver’s license/ photo ID

FID/LTC – $100
FID ages 15-17 – $25
Renewals ages 70 and up – Free

RENEWAL APPLICANTS

1. Download and complete the application OR complete an Online Application
2. Carver Police Department Dispatch Center at 508-866-2000 to be placed on the Firearms Appointment List.  Renewal applicants will be called by the Firearms Licensing Section, you will be given a date and time for your interview.

When you come to your scheduled appointment, please bring with you:

• Your completed application or existing FID/LTC if you applied online
• A check or money order made payable to “Town of Carver” (no cash or credit card), see fees below.
